Ariana Hanley is a multidisciplinary artist and designer whose work explores texture, memory, atmosphere, and the relationship between traditional and contemporary art forms. Working across a wide range of media, her practice includes charcoal, graphite, acrylic paint, watercolor, mixed media, graphic design, stop motion, crafts, and floral design. Through each medium, she is drawn to creating pieces that feel both expressive and immersive, often combining fine art techniques with design-based thinking.
Ariana began her studies at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where she attended for one year before completing her Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design at Bridgewater State University during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her background in both fine art and graphic design has shaped a versatile creative practice that moves fluidly between hand-made and digital work. Her work has been featured in gallery exhibitions at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Cape Cod Community College, the Cultural Center of Cape Cod in Yarmouth, and in three separate exhibitions at Woodruff’s Art Center in Mashpee.
In addition to creating her own artwork, Ariana has experience in custom conservation framing, carefully designing and building framing solutions that preserve and complement original works of art. This understanding of presentation and craftsmanship informs every aspect of her creative process.
